About
Grading help that leaves the instructor in charge.
GradeHomeworkOnline gives instructors a first pass over a whole class of work, with the reasoning shown, so their time goes into judgment and feedback instead of repetition.
Why it exists
Grading a class set fairly takes hours, and the last paper deserves the same attention as the first. Most of that time is spent applying the same rubric again and again. That part can be prepared for you, as long as you can see why each score was given and change it.
It is built for every kind of assignment a course sets, not only essays: short answers, quizzes, math, science, and code are graded the same way, against the standard you approve.
The rules it is built on
- Your rubric is the standard. Work that meets what the rubric asks earns the points. Nothing is deducted because a different answer might have been better.
- Every score has a reason. You can check any grade and explain it to a student.
- You decide. A grade is a proposal until you approve it.
- The standard does not move. The rubric is locked when grading starts, so every submission in a run is judged alike.
- The arithmetic is not left to AI. AI reads the work against each requirement; fixed rules turn those findings into points and totals.
What it will not do
- It has no student accounts and students never interact with it.
- It does not look for cheating, plagiarism, or AI writing, and it does not rate a student's effort, intent, or behavior.
- It does not treat a grade as final until an instructor has approved it.
Where it stands
The service is in pre-release. It grades typed work today; reading handwriting and scans, and running code safely, are planned. See what it grades or get in touch.
