Pricing questions
What does it cost today?
Nothing. The service is in pre-release. Each account's submissions, grading levels, word limits, and features follow the plan chosen after creating the account. Please grade sample work rather than real student records for now.
When do these prices start?
When the service opens to the public. The prices on this page are the planned launch prices; they may change before then, and nobody is charged without agreeing to them.
What is the difference between monthly and yearly billing?
Paying yearly costs less per month and is charged once a year. Paying monthly costs more per month and can be stopped at any time.
Which plan do I need?
It depends on the work you grade. Essays, short answers, quizzes, and exams are covered by Pro and Premium. Math, science, lab reports, and code take more careful checking and cost more to grade, so they have their own plans, Math & Code Pro and Math & Code Premium, which cover written work too. The free trial includes up to 10 math or code submissions to try it.
What counts as a graded submission?
One student's work for one assignment, however many files it has. Each paid plan includes a number of graded submissions every month; the free trial includes 100, once.
What happens when the free trial ends?
The trial ends when its 100 submissions are used or 30 days after your first graded run, whichever comes first. After that, buy credit and pay for each graded submission, or choose a plan. Your work and grades stay. Each person gets one free trial.
Can I pay as I go instead of subscribing?
Yes. Buy credit in packs of $10, $25, or $50 and each graded submission is paid from it, at a price set by the kind of work and the grading level. The price of a run is shown before it starts, and a run your credit cannot cover is not started. Credit lasts 12 months from purchase.
What happens when I use up my plan's submissions?
Keep grading from pay-as-you-go credit, wait for next month's allowance, or move to a larger plan. Your plan's allowance is always used before credit.
Can a co-instructor or grader share my account?
The free trial, Pro, Math & Code Pro, and pay as you go are for one person. Premium and Math & Code Premium let you invite co-instructors and graders into your courses, each in their own role, and Executive covers everyone at your institution.
Can my school or department buy it for everyone?
That is what the Executive plan is for. Choose Executive after creating your account and tell us roughly how many instructors you have; we will reply to set up a meeting.
